Middle East has many civilizations come through so treasure detecting here is interesting.

Hi Mod Aljar, Ideal for treasure detecting!! I don't think that there has been much archaeological exploration and the Middle East certainly has a very rich ancient history. You could seriously make some amazing finds. You are indeed fortunate to be living in an area with so much potential. Bettawfeeq

Well, as you know when Turkish withdraw from the area , they buried a lot of gold in different places.
Some were detected and recovered but still some good to dream with.

Hi Mike
This ring has a writing in Arabic.It says Meddinah Munawarah which is the second holy city in Saudi Arabia after Mekkah.It has the grave
of the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
I can't tell you how old is it but I think pilgrims to Mekkah and Meddinah from all over the world were took presents as remembrances
when they got back to their countries.Maybe this ring is one of these.

This one of the reasons why I like treasure hunting.You meet people from different countries and cultures.I have some friends and relatives who studies in the state and have good relations with their neighbours and friends.So I think you taste the dates and the Arabian coffee
