White's MXT
« on: June 04, 2010, 10:40:21 am »
Go Up Go Down

Hi all!  Just want to introduce myself. Looking to connect with other Utahns, Salt Lake area.  I am having a hard time finding people in my area that like to detect.

I have been around detecting most of my life.  My dad is an avid fan and the reason I do it.  He has had several old detectors.  Recently he gave me the two Compass detectors I used with my brother when we were kids.  He hopes I will take my boys out with me.  Tomorrow seems like a good day for that.

I currently use the White's MXT and like it ok.  I have been frustrated with the accuracy of my digs lately so I have been eyeballing the White's V3i.  Actually it is more like drooling.  If you have a V3, how do you like it?

I am mostly after coins with my metal detector.  I am an avid coin collector, however  I have never found any silver in the ground!  Sad  All my coins that are worth a darn I have purchased.  I would REALLY love to dig some silver!

Well, thats about it.  I look forward to meeting new people with an affinity for our curious hobby.

Welcome from Utah County! I just got an X-terra 70, they are supposed to be silver magnets! I also have yet to find silver coins, hopefully not for long!

Welcome aboard! Actually I have the V3 and like it a lot. It is an excellent machine but not a turn on and go one. While I think teh DFX and MXT are allready difficult to use the V3 takes it a step further.

Regards,

Christian
