just a short note to say hello from western maryland  . am new to the fun of metal detecting and am looking forward to having fun and enjoying the outdoors more than i do now as i spend all my time outside if i can . but this will be a plus while camping and so on .

oh my name is scott by the way and i have ordered but not yet recieved a garrett ace 250 for my very frst starting tool .

Hello scoremaster & redladyrelics.. Welcome both of you from Utah!  Grin
I've also heard many good things about the Ace 250. I personally own a 350 (just a few more bells & whistles) and it seems to work well. No, it doesn't have all the fancy features as a $1k MD, but still will find those treasures for you! Are you far from the beach? We'll be looking forward to hearing about your latest finds in the 'Today's Finds' thread (with pictures please) too!

Hello, scoremaster, homefire ,au fever,  zul32 & ArfieBoy, will be sure to post pictures of my finds. I live about 3 hours from the coast. Don't know if I will get a chance to go there. wonder what laws are there about metal detecting? sure would be fun to go. I will check into it. thanks

i dn't know what i really will find but i'm sure thats what everyone thinks i have never been to the east coast or to the ocean maybe someday before i leave this old world i will make it lol.
so alot of private property and woods hunting will be for me .
