name is Tim and I am an :Smiley....sorry, wrong intro.  I live in SE Arkansas.  I have retired after 29 years and 4 mos. of law enforcement work with the state and I was wasnt in the pen Grin.  I am crazy about the war of northern aggression and the stuff that they shot, dropped and lost.  I like looking for arrowheads also and have close to 2,000 and a couple of pots.  I do believe this will be a great site...d2

Welcome d2...I have a nice collection of arrowheads my self, I am a Native American and am a Traditional mens Dancer.  O yea your a cop...and being a native I'm a terrorist...how can that be when my people were here....My People have had Homeland Security since 1492, I guess the white man is the terrorist...depends how you look at things...welcome anyway and have a great day.

Hi and welcome aboard!!
I dug up over 250 1853 Pattern Enfield minies a couple of weeks ago.  Some were Iron cored so they were early, all were fired but any that I could see into the cavity had numbers or letters.
The area was used as a Militia Target range and used from 1855-1864 only.

Same bullets as used in the US CW..but found in Ontario Canada.
I sometimes hunt Huron Indian Villages that are several miles north of me...found several French trade items that date 1600-1640.
A good friend has a very large collection of flint arrowheads and other very early bits.
