two metal detectors and panning equipment

Go Up Go Down

WELL, MY HUSBAND AND I went up to Bon Echo park hoping to do some gold panning but too many people there. Came home and working on a Canadian Sheild deposit and ridge on our property (26 acres of assorted composition.) Have found all types of minerals and crystals as the ridge is layered and compressed with white and rose quartz crystals everywhere but looks like specks of silver too. My husband says I can not blow up the ridge to make a shaft or make deep holes since the house would go too. (Yes, I am sort of joking.) But I wondered with my metal detector..would it pick up gold or silver in the thick rock to any depth? I figure I am going to wait till Fire Works day, combine a whole lot of cannon firecrackers and give it a try. Any suggestings as to where I would look for a gold vein...in the ridge straight in....or at the bottom of it digging down? Take care...Cesi Hello

Hi  Cesi

Depending on what type of detector you have and the size of the gold yes you can find it with a detector BUT dynamite  Shocked you sure sound like a dangerous woman to be around with LOL Let me tell you one thing that I have learned, gold is like a pig it lays anywhere on-top at the bottom on the side just any where Best thing is to find the vain and follow it. Hope this helps.

All the best
Xavier
