Between Phoenix and Kingman.

Several historically productive areas in or very near that stretch.

I lived in Arizona for many years and did my fair share of nugget hunting. I never found a nugget in a tailing pile but I did find some pretty rocks. I now reside in Missouri and have been wanting to take a trip to SD. Is there a lot of BLM land or is it mostly privately owned?
How about the old ghost towns I read about. Are you permitted to detect around them?

Hope you find a big one!

Hello Junker,
allot of the towns that they say are ghost towns still have people living in them. for instance  ROCKERVILLE  still has about 10 or so people loving there. Research is the way to go There used to be a town about 5 miles north of Pringle SD called Sanator, It used to have a railroad depot there, It's still there buildings and all It is now called Star Academy detention Center for youths. It is run by the State Of SD
