Hey all,

I'm new to this site, (obviously).

Why I joined the forum? A friend asked me to research about treasure markings and all since he said he has a possible treasure site. During my search, I stumbled on this forum and now here I am.

Personally, I never had any desire to discover treasures but hey, we never know right? I'll just think of this as a sort-of-hobby.

You can start by telling your friend that most of the time a rock is just a rock no matter how much you want it to be something else. And most of the time people who think people who buried treasure left secret maps and/or put up big special signs so the select few that came after them could find the treasure have been watching to many blockbuster movies. Would you bury a treasure and then advertise it by leaving signs to it all over the place?

Too many folks are digging holes in your country all thinking that they have found the ultimate treasure GOLD but all they have really found is rock and nothing else.
