Probably both, difficulties arise here in France for land searches without all kinds of permissions, including from the local mayor in some cases... but seek and you will find!

True - seek & you'll find! There's such history in your country - understand the permissions required. Once you practice with your detector, maybe that would be worthwhile. Beach would be nice - easier to dig than land, too. I'm sure there's a lot of nice items waiting for you to find them - good luck! Sue
