Hi Everybody, I'm new here, I've been metaldetecting for less than a year with an ace 250 which I sold, and now I'm looking for something better, and I quite like the Tesoro MDs from the reviews on the net and the not too expensive prices. That's all for now,  Hello

Hello WildD and  Welcome from upstate NY
Glad to see ya here.Look around the forum and pick up all the info that you can stand.
Yes sir you can't go wrong with any machine from the Tesoro line.If you used your LCD screen on your Garrett 250 for target ID it will take some time to get use to just detecting by sound, unless you go with the higher end units that has LCD screens.
I"m not putting down any of the Garrett machines,my little ace 150 is ace's but you can't beat that Tesoro life warranty.
Good luck with it all........  Great

Hello WildD.   Welcome from Arizona.
Tesoro's are excellent machines (and not just because they are made here  Smiley )
If I can make a suggestion---make a list of what you liked and what you disliked about the Ace 250 and use that list to help you choose your new detector.
I'm a bit curious, though, about what you didn't like about the Garrett Ace 250 since there are several long-time hunters here who keep one as a back-up unit.   It definitely seems to be a machine that is easy to learn but hard to truly master (in other words, it's capable of performing much better than most people seem to give it credit for).
