Bounty Hunter Tracker 1D/505, Radio Shack Orange cheapy

Howdy--
from Grass Valley, CA, in motherlode country. I use a Bounty Hunter Tracker1D/505 and a little cheap orange Radio Shack (that one for nails etc. mostly). Both have trouble discriminating with the red dirt here, high in iron and little else.
I've heard of detectors that can supposedly find tunnels, anyone else ever hear of this?
Thanks -- MudderLodeTom

Hay Tom,

Welcome to tha forum.

I do not know anything about finding
caves. They are cold and wet, and it
hurts when I bump my bones,, ouch!

I an not sure what detector works in
your soil. I can get by in most places
with my machines. It can become a
challange to contend with some things.

We have both moderate red clay and
very irony and harsh red clay.

I think to get real penetration, you may
need to spend some money.

Sorry, but I have not gotten that far yet.
I just address the problem the best I can
with the machines I use. They are good
at finding gold jewelry and relics. That
is why I use them.

But, I hope you can make some good
head way.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog
