Does anybody Know anything about the Tesoro Vaquero Metal Detector says its waterproff up to 200feet ? could this be right ?

The (Tesoro Vaquero) is a very good Land Detector. I'm sure it can be used on the beach as well, has a water proof coil which can be submerged up to the upper control rod, but you don't want to get the control box wet.


Frank, the truth is your going to want a land detector in addition to any submersible unit such as the Tiger shark, so I would also take a look at a very excellent land machine that also is awesome on the beaches...(The Whites IDX Pro) is a great all around machine, even has a salt/sand mode to help mask out false signals caused by salt on salt water beaches.

I just listed a Brand New in the box "Whites IDX Pro" unit for sale on our sales forum here, check it out and if you like it, I'll check and see the most reasonable way to ship it to you there in New Zealand!

My advice is, Go for a quality and easy to use detector Frank, and one that has great positive reviews and feedbacks & you'll enjoy it better and it will take care of you!
