Hello Board!
I'm a newbie, looking to get into metal detecting on the beach.  I just moved from the Wash. DC area to the Tampa/St. Pete area, and the beach is only about 75 yards away.  I have enjoyed reading a few of the posts so far, and am amazed by the amount and quality of the information I've found.  What a resource!  Anyway, look forward to doing more research, purchasing my first metal detector, and then sharing my finds.

Welcome from a 1hr old member. I've been looking at that beach too. But I have to drive there to see it. Only 5mi. Been thinking about an automated detector doing a search pattern there sending the data to my laptop for later processing while I'm sunning myself. Welcome from Largo.........

Hi Chuck, welcome from Central Florida... I have been to you beach before, it is beautiful... I usually go to St Augustine beach.  It's great to live in Florida... I look forward to seeing more posts.
