Boring Bounty Hunter, Whites Coinmaster(new version) soon to have Xterra 705
« on: December 01, 2012, 03:53:54 pm »
Go Up Go Down

Hi everyone, I'm new here from Sydney Australia. I'm new to detecting and I am enjoying it! I had a bounty hunter I picked up for 50 bucks, figured out that it was crap although I did find a 1946 Florin with it. Scored a new model whites Coinmaster from a top bloke locally here. Also runs Garrett pro pointer and this is a huge help.

I will be getting a Minelabs Xterra 705 in the new year and will hit the gold fields!

My main thing at the mo is relic hunting and some beach detecting so the Coinmaster will do the job for now Smiley

Look forward to learning from y'all Smiley

Thought Fosters was cats piss lol, I remember guys on my crew all of us new to Australia and they wanted a Fosters and got thoroughly laughed at. I remember drinking a lot of Crown Lagers and some VBs. Don't remember much besides being drunk a ton and how aggressive the Aussie women were towards Americans. OH and held a Koala and the little bugger scratched me up and pissed all over the place lol, nasty little animals, I think kids should stick to fake stuffed ones lol.

Welcome from New Mexico!

Bounty Hunters are a Middle of the line detector and Don't be looking down on them.

They find the goods for sure.

If your after Going to the Gold Fields you could do a pile better then the Minelabs Xterra 705 !

my main use will be relic and coin hunting...the odd and i mean odd trip to the gold fields too!

My bounty hunter old lone star (well radioshack branding) was pretty hopeless, missed so many things. The coin master is better in regards to finding stuff with less chatter. The 705 will be even better!

Hi Jaskel.   That's a good set of detectors you have to work with.  They will get you off to a good start.  Just remember that it takes a while to learn a detector, so don't fall into the trap many people do of continually switching detectors.   After you've learned to milk each of those detectors you'll amaze people with "better" detectors with what you find that they have missed---plus you'll be ready to get more out of the next level of detector more quickly than you would have if you had jumped directly to something too complicated for what you were ready to deal with.

BA in Arizona.
