Go Up Go Down

Hi all.
First I must admit I know almost nothing about treasure hunting. I do not even have a detector although I was raised following my father around with one. I always wanted to start hunting myself. So now that my kids are grown and I started reading a little. I realize I have a very long way to go. Right now I am studying symbols and signs. I moved to the country a few years ago in Central Alabama. I live in a valley with a stream. Its been in my family 160 years.

During the Trial of Tears my native ancestors stayed behind. This land was granted to my ancestor who was Creek Indian. Before that it was not inhabited as far as my research shows. It was most likely Indian hunting ground before the 1800's.  I have found a few trees with carvings. Actually I have found many on my property. Some are down the creek in a small gully and some are in the valley. So I hope I'll fit in here and while I realize your all not teachers, I hope to learn a lot.

Thanks for the kind welcome. I was looking around a bit but haven't found the best forum to post pictures. I have pics of a few of the tree and what appears to be either a rock formation cave like thing or an old mine opening. Could you tell me the best place to post these?

Welcome from the Blue Mountains of northeastern Oregon!  Good to have you aboard.   You will find this a good site to explore and learn from.  Treasure hunting has many and varied areas to learn from and about.  Great  Enjoy while you learn!   Wise
