New here, early 50's.   Bought my first metal detector a few months back and to date have found nearly 300 coins from our former Lake that had a Dam breach this summer.  Varied interests incl all types of outdoor treasure hunting.. This coming Spring intend to make a detector array for my ATV and do some large scale meteorite hunting in known strewn fields in Iowa, and perhaps the unknown ones as this earth has been here a tweed bit longer then us............Problem is Iowa is so glacier ed and been under water sea for more then it has been dry. Perhaps I'll find the first Duckbill dinosaur bone..  Long term goal is to write a small Treasure hunting Book covering many aspects of my states historical records from birds, fossils, rocks, wildlife, minerals, topography etc.
