Hi All,
    The name here is Jim and I'm from Port Jervis, NY. It is right where NY, NJ and PA meet along the Delaware river. I have been relic hunting / treasure hunting on and off for about 30 years. Right now I am using a Garrett GTP 1350. I am trying to find others in my area that are interested in relic hunting, treasure hunting or even some coin hunting. So far I have been unable to find any local clubs and the people I used to hunt with no longer are involved with the hobby. If there is anyone from the area interested, maybe we can form some kind of group / club for people in this area.

Hi Jim. Travel through your burgh 4 or times a year or so and have for 40 years! Years ago I always wanted to detect the old abandoned cottages and resort hotels along 209 over in Milford. Then the state and the Delaware Water Gap park started to buy up and demo them........

Hi,
I know how you feel about the cottages and hotels being taken over by the park service. Right on the other side of the river in NJ the state took a bunch of houses and old homesteads for a dam project that never came about. Now there are a bunch of great sites to hunt that are off limits. It is a shame the state will not allow MDing on these old sites.

Chalk it up to yet another example of good people making bad choices because people with an agenda manages to convince them it was in everyones best interest (and don't listen to the other side, they don't have degrees so they can't have any expertise)
