Go Up Go Down

Just a quick post to introduce myself.
I live in the county of Somerset in the UK and have been detecting since 1977 (with a few gaps to raise two wonderful daughters). In this time I have probably used and owned most makes of detectors, some of which I wish I still had and others I can't believe I was stupid enough to buy.
I have recently returned to using a Minelab Sovereign XS2a Pro, which I feel confident and comfortable using.
I am also the maker of the Chef-Phone range of Headphones, which, "touch wood" are popular here in the UK.

I have recently obtained permission to detect on a new farm which is throwing up Roman coins and brooches, so fingers crossed for the future.
I'm looking forward to posting finds and adding to the knowledge base here were I can.
Geoff

A.D. 418. This year the Romans collected all the hoards of gold that were in Britain; and some they hid in the earth, so that no man afterwards might find them, and some they carried away with them into Gaul.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
