Just like to say Hi from the UK and to say what a fantastic forum, a bit about myself, I have been involved with treasure hunting for 30+ years and I am just as keen as the first day I started if not keener, I search the fields as well as the beaches I have found coins and artefacts from all periods of history on the land but my real love is the wet sand its that glint of gold does it every time in fact i'm off in the morning, tides and weather are good at min, i'll add some pictures shortly of some UK beach finds, found a few weeks ago, hopefully I put them in the right section, anyway great forum and I hope to contribute.

Hi Craftyboy, just new to the forum and detecting, i have never done wet sand but the way put it sounds good. its a shame as i live only 1 mile from the coast but the crown own the shore line as we have a gun range down there.

 Welcome had ago on the dry sand in the summer with mixed results but my tector did not like the wet at all, fantastic machine on land and dry sand so any tips on a tector for the wet would be welcomed, without breaking the bank as i only get to the coast 3 or4 times a year
