I haven't done any metal detecting yet but am into electronics and want to build my own detector and am looking for info on coil designs etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey GeeJay10.......welcome from Arizona.

       I'd suggest heading over to the Tech Talk boards and see what's going on both "Metal Detectors" and "Modifications, Do It Yourself & Repairs".   That will give you an idea of what's available.   Also, we have a downloads sites that contains schematics for some of the projects in those two sub-boards.  You'll be able to download the files once you get a few more posts under your belt.  I'm sure you'll get to the magic "5" very quickly while your reading the existing posts and commenting on them.
