I'm not from you neck of the woods, but I'd sure like to see some of your finds, especially if you find anything from General Sterling Price's Army (he's supposed to be a relative -- at least that's how they explain my great grandfather being named after him)

Yes, General Sterling Price had a large camp just north of New Madrid, Mo. We hunt several fields, and have found lots of relics, mostly bullets. My brother and I went last Saturday and I found five buttons, three of which were from a Zuave soldier uniform. Those are the first buttons of that type that I have ever found. We're waiting for the farmers to get all their crops out so we can go and be uninterrupted. I'll try and get some of my finds posted soon.
