New analog citizen entering this digital world.  Looks like a great resource, but I must say I more comfortable sorting through stacks of old newspapers and those rare copies AZ highways.

Howdy, NUPA.

You're not alone in finding stacks of old newspapers and old copies of Arizona highways more comfortable (or at least more comforting).  On the other hand, there are some definite advantages to the digital age--like not having to deal with microfilm or microfiche, being able to read copies of old papers that you'd never have a chance to read otherwise (and in your robe no less), access to copies of rare books not carried in any library near you, the ability to bounce ideas off of others and share resources, etc, etc.
And even if you find the initial lead on the 'net, it still pays to fall back on the old ways since there is still a lot of data out there that isn't digitalized.

You'll find this place grows on you, and we look forward to your input.

Welcome from Australia! Love the old newspapers and magazines. They're full of leads that the new kids on the block will never see.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
