G'day au fever,
thanks for the welcome mate, I have only had the chance to spend a day or so in  NT while doing a hot shot run to deliver some urgent parts to a oil rig south west of Hermansberg up on top of the big ridge. I] would like to get back one day for a better look around it sure is different country to Brisbane area.

     Regards Bluebeard.

G'Dday nickel_n,
it is good to see a few of our mob involved in this site. Ihave some friends who live down your way at a place called The Basin just below the Dandenongs, I like the cold but I mean Queensland cold where you can still wear shorts, t shirt and cane toad radials all day.So far my detecting is limited to when I was a kid in knee pants and I put a magnet in a bag tied with some old wiring harness out of a car and swung back and frow picking up every nut, bolt, washer, pin, nail or bit of stell anybody ever dropped. The only thing of any claim was a side plate and hammer from a flint lock pistol or rifle which I dug up on our property at a later date.

  Thank you for your welcome,
    Bluebeard.
