Howdy, Ewan.  Welcome to THunting.com.  Fisher does make some good detectors, don't they.  I have an F-4 that find me swinging in most situations.   Enjoy your time here and don't be afraid to pipe up when you think you have something to contribute or when you have a question.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm loving the F2, I haven't had any experience with any other MDs though, but what I can say about the F2 is I haven't found it frustrating to use.
