 Detecting Hi from WY. I have been doing a lot of research lately as I will be moving to the Phoenix area next year. I have been metal detecting on and off for 20 years. I still have my 1st detector, its a Technetics Hawk, and it still works great. I picked up a Whites DFX a few years back and haven't used it enough to know how to work it well. I plan on buying a good gold detector once I'm in AZ and also plan to join several of the clubs. Any reccomendations from people in the Phoenix area as to which clubs have the best claims? Thanks

spb350.......The GPAA club in Phoenix is very active, so you probably want to make sure you've got your membership up to date.   Roadrunners has a large and active membership, but they're pricey.   There are a couple of small one's like Weaver's in the area that have some good claims, but I'd consider them as supplemental to the GPAA and not as an in place of type thing.   Also, check out the Arizona Treasures Unlimited metal detecting club for general metal detecting.   We've got a good bunch with a wider variety of interests.  Give me a holler when you get closer.
