Looks Like I lost those files and a lot more + books to IKE OWELL.  Here is what I got from member re locations are good but dates are in Huh?.
Nottingham was a town laid out around a lace factory between 11 and 12 mile road I never could prove how many if any house stores etc were built, but the factory was working bring the worker in by small gauge RR every day. The dying vats are still there and can be seen about 20 yards past the fence. I never found much there but a guy I took with me once found a 5 buck gold piece. My Luck.

Got more but need to do some honey do

Hey Seldom,

Sorry to hear of the losses to Ike.  That hurricane was really nasty.  Thank you for the "tid bits" thus far!  You have peeked my interest.  Can't wait to hear the rest of the story.......

Good luck with the honey do.  Crazy

Tex

Moving west to 13 mile road at the east side of the state park was a town called West Galveston. It was  a town and had several stores and many houses. The town was linked to Galveston by a small gauge RR. It was wiped out by the !900 storm. Before the state park I hunted and found lots of coins and things from 1900 and before. East of 13 mile road still produces some good fines from time to time. I found a nice ink well at the park right after the storm but do not get with a MD in the park.
