Hello to all fellow treasure seekers!!
This is DB from Katy Texas.  I have been detecting for about a year now and really enjoy the research and the thrill of finding "buried treasure."  I am currently researching treasure hunting in state, county and city parks.  In my experiences the best place to find treasure is around swing sets, slides, monkey bars, benches, bleachers, and BBQ - picknic areas.

I am looking for proven information concerning my thesis or idea stated above.  PLEASE feel free to either confirm my thoughts or add your own park hunting ideas and techniques.

Thank You in advance for your time and sharing of knowledge.
Talk to me people!!!   Detecting

Hello DB!

I fully agree to your thesis. Where ever lots of peopel gather and are movinga round they will tend to lose things. If you are looking for caches try places with memorials, crosses etc. Spots that will remain and are easy recognizeable will be good places to burry caches. Also dessertet cross roads are often great spots.

Best wishes,

Christian

Hi DB, Welcome I have detected for years and found lots of old coins here in Australia. Try around old houses and parks where people gather. You would have alot more places over there then here as our history isn't so old. I have detected for both Gold and coins since around the early 80s, It is enjoyable and relaxing and good when you find a nice item. hope to hear you have had some good findes. Ken

Hellow fellow Texan!  I am curious about city/county park hunting and what the law is.  If you find something out can you post it in the legal section?

HEY DB, I'M BIG WALLY FROM MAGNOLIA, TEXAS.  I'M TRYING TO FIND INFORMATION ON OLD FAIR GROUNDS IN AND AROUND HOUSTON OR SURROUNDING AREAS.
I JUST HIY GALVESTON BEACH, 2 WEEKS AGO, FOUND AROUND 50 COINS, NO SILVER OR GOLD, BUT THE BEACH WASPRETTY CLEAN.  I WORKED AROUND 50 FT OF THE WEST SIDE BY THE FLAG SHIP HOTEL.  HIT CORPUS CHRISTI LAST WEEK AND MY TESORO WOULD NOT WORK WELL ON THE BLACK SAND.
