Hello:
Am a brand new member of this forum, but have been metal detecting since 1994.
My main detecting interest is finding old coins--just this Sunday past I found my oldest coin thus far, an 1832 half Dime!
Sadly I scraped it in digging it, but still a major thrill to find a coin that old.
My present Detector is a Garrett GTA 1000, purchased in about 1996. It's been a great unit for me and I really appreciate its features.
Not sure what I'm sposed to do with all those smiley faces above this message box.

My current metal detector is a GTA 1000 aslo.
Purchased around the same time as yours,has been a good machine for me asswell.

Yep, 29 degrees right now. but I got out a while this afternoon- no finds except an old shotgun shell.
