what i'd like to pursue is the old legend of the gold and silver buried near minerva, oh by pre-revolutionary british soldiers enroute on the great trail to fort detroit from fort duquesne (pittsburgh), any leads tips or ideas? I've got plenty, but old ones from my research in the 70s.

Howdy, Al.....I'll have to check into that.  I picked up a few stories while I was living in the Akron area in the mid 80's.

By the way, my wife works with a couple of Buckeye citizens *

BA

(* of course her co-workers are from Buckeye, Arizona  Wink ----but they do make a big deal of it every time the football team comes down here).

Hey Hillbilly, Im from Athens, but lived in Pomeroy for 10 years. I remember stories about it 30 years ago, but dont remember much. I do know there is gold coins being found up river a few miles at the power plant. A river boat sunk or something and they are on the banks. Need a boat to searh for em. Im in Cruces now and looking to buyt my first machine. Brother has a vintage he is sending me also till id decide what I level I want to play out here. I notice you arent allowed to gather artifacts in New Mexico, and not much mentioned about gold nuggets. I must be looking in the wrong places. Anyway, good luck.
