I know it says TR on it but that one is a BFO.

TR is Total Response.

With the coil a foot off the ground, tune the Right Control until you just hear a beat sound.

Adjust the left control to the Audio level good for you.

When you put the coil down to the ground, the beat sound will get faster or slower.

Again Adjust it to just a slow beat sound .

While hunting if the sound goes down in Frequency the target is Ferrous (Iron) type target.

If it goes Up, your on Non Ferrous Target like a Copper or Silver Target.    LOL and other stuff too.

Hunt, Hunt , Hunt.

 Grin

BFO is Not so good in the Nugget department!

Not saying it can't find em but the response just ain't there.

But here is what ya do.

It will find Black sands deposits most well.

Find the Deepest Black sand you can.

Dig down to the bottom and Pan that stuff.

Yep!   That will work.

Remember that Black sand will fall under mineral and respond opposite of metal objects.

It will depend on what side of the beat your set up on.

You will see what I'm talking about after you spend some time with it.
