 [amen]Bless me everyone, I am new to the site and would like to get started in prospecting.  I live in New Mexico.  I need all the help I can get, that is why I asked for your blessings. Ha Ha Ha........  I enjoy the outdoors and love camping and fishing,CB radios and just getting out into the woods.  I have an old metal detector that I got many years ago and haven't used it for any real finds except keys lost in the yard and a wedding ring that was lost at a party.

There is supposed to be a prospector's club here in Albuquerque, but haven't found it yet.  But working on it.  I once knew of an old rock hound in southern New Mexico that owned a little shop that he ran and sold gold nuggets that he prospected.  He took me to a place in the Organ Mountains and I set up camp and he went off into a canyon and came back with a small bag of nuggets.  He told me that he was going to show me where to get the nuggets but died before he could show me.  I know the general area but not pinpoint his old mine.  So, now I'm old and got the gold bug and would like to do some prospecting.  I do know that there is a small stream that we camped at and it only runs during rain storms and snow melts in the mountain.  With god and good luck, who knows, maybe I can find the old mine that this old man got his nuggets from.

If anyone is in the area of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and you have a CB, give me a call on channel 19.......I go by the handle "Wile E. Coyote" if I hear you  maybe we could get together and go look for this old mans mine together.

Hi Danny,
             Welcome to the forum, I am looking forward to reading your posts, and hearing
of your outings and finds, Many years ago I lived in Southern New Mexico, I am in Washington State now. Lots of areas to prospect up here as well. There is a General Disscussion board on the forum by state listings. I found a someone there that I go hunting with
and we have become good friends. Enjoy the forum, if you have any questions just ask. theres lots of great folks here with a verity of experence in all fields of Treasure Hunting.

Thank everyone for acknowledging the noobee to the site.  I know that I will aquire alot of knowlege from here.  Work has been very hetic and I haven't been able to get away for myself in a couple of years.  I think that I am going to have to make time for myself, so I don't go crazy.  And the best place to get some rest (ha ha ha) is to go and do some prospecting.  It will get me out or the rat race for a day or two.  It isn't hard to get the 15 posts to become a full member and getting information on here is truely easy as asking the questions. 

Thanks to all that have given me the information that I have asked for to date.
