hello, jtron2.......follow the advice you have been given.   Get over to the Tech Talk boards, find a couple of topics that interest you and either ask questions or make reasonably intelligient comments.  You'll have 5 posts in no time and then there will be nothing to stop you from building that detector.

Arrrmondo, first go to the top of the page a start a new topic introducing yourself.   Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you want to get out of this site so we can give you a proper welcome.  That will give you one post.

Then go to the home page where all of the boards are located.  Scan down it and find a subject that interests you.  Then read some of the recent posts on that board and either comment on them or start your own topic on the subject covered by the board.  Do that and you'll have 5 posts in no time.
