Go Up Go Down

Hello Everyone.  Well I'm the new guy here on the "forum block."  I ran across this site as I was surfing the net for new Beale code info.  About the only treasure topic that I like is the Beale codes.  I've a couple books on the subject, have tried my hand at solving the codes and have had many ideas about how Beale 'might have' encoded his secrets.  I haven't tried my hand at solving them for some years now but decided I'd take it up again by searching the net for any new info.  I'm somewhat delighted to find this site and will return often to see what has been posted and to maybe 'pick your brains.'  Anyway thanks for your time and attention.

Basically, Gambol 1, Beale and his party of 30 traveled west and discovered a gold/silver site.  He and other members of his party made their way back to virginia, twice, to make deposits of their find to a place in that state.  He left 3 numbered texts, after leaving on his third trip back out west, to a hotel keeper to hold for him. He never returned to pick them up nor is it known if he even made it back to get the gold and silver. The texts were handed down to a couple of men who later succeeded in solving only one of the codes.  That told what was in the underground 'vault.'  No one has since found the deposit.

Gold Panner, welcome.   Feel free to add your on ideas/take on the Beale Code.   You might spark someone who might come up with the missing idea YOU need.   We can always use new educational or entertaining posts.

Hi, Bitburg. Thanks for the welcome.  I remember years back I had an White's Eagle detector, the one with the big, blue box and liquid quartz window. I'd hunt the gravely parking lots of local sports fields and such and was delighted to find lots of change hidden among the parking lot gravel.  Even found a nice twisted wire bracelet one day.  Still have it to I think.  One of my finds while living in a small town was made on a  corner lot that once was home to a boarding house.  My neighbor told me how that during the turn of the century (back to 1900) that people would board there and the yard would 'run' so and so.  The present house that had been there had been bulldozed and the lot was fairly empty. I took my detector and found lots of wheat pennies.  One of my best finds was a 1947 half dollar buried about 4" down.  Man, I was thrilled.  My detector hadn't had a recharging so I hurriedly checked the grassy strip along the curb and found my second find ever, an 1876 mercury dime.  I nearly whooped and hollered with that one.  Wish I'd kept that detector.  It was a sure winner in my book.  I'll get another some day.  Bought my grandson a nice Radio Shack model for Christmas last.  And this year I'm hoping to get another one myself.

Hello, Christian.  I have a question.  I was reading one of your posts and I thought I had understood it that you have de-coded one of the Beale papers.  Am I correct?  Have you, indeed, solved paper #3 stating the names of some of Beale's party members? And have you posted or written something about the method used?  I'd very much like to see the work.  Thank you and for the welcome.
