Hi I am new and posting my first message.

I am from Ontario but presently on vacation near Madeira Beach Florida. I am only able to detect for part of the time but I am looking forward to it. We are visiting friends(who do not metal detect) and there are so many other things on the agenda but I do hope to get out for a few mornings.

Hello everyone!

I went out on Madeira beach yesterday morning for a few hours. I enjoyed myself as it was just great to be out there and detecting.
The signals were few but I found a few coins and a heavy silver earring ;it probably is plated. However, I am just happy to be here.
I met a retired gentleman from Ohio detecting  and he has found 3 gold rings this year and I think he said he sold one to a pawn shop for $3300 that was valued at $5000.
I know there are more targets out there. I am not out there today but hopefully tomorrow morning; like I said my agenda is pretty full.

And thank you to all who have sent me a message! I am very humbled to be receiving posts from all over the U.S.A. and I hope your detecting is blessed with good luck, health and enjoyment.

Welcome from Arizona.....I think we can all sympathize.  There never quite seems to be enough time to do everything you want, especially when you are on vacation.   Enjoy what you can do and don't worry about the rest.  There will be new treasures to find the next time you come.
