Shadow X2

Hello I'm from Kansas and use a ShadowX2 that I got several years ago but have not used much until now. I am hoping to find some tips on hunting old home sites that have alot of iron around them. The only find I have around a site like this is some tokens for 5 cents and 10 cents at a stone house. My other finds have been in parks and homes in town. Here are a few of the finds I have found.

Howdy, Kansas Boy......welcome to THunting.com.   We've got lots of members with lots of tips on how to proceed.  For starters, you might check Dan Hughes podcasts---he's done a couple on that subject.   And use the search function at the top right of the page.   Be sure you select "search entire forum".....you'll find plenty of tips on searching old home sites that way.

I'm sure some of the other members will post some more tips here.

Hello, Kansas. In my opinion, you don't want to discriminate when hunting old home sites, I've found too many good items around old home sites, of course I've also dug a lot of junk, ( I have a huge pile of "farm junk"), but it is worth it in the long run... Many of those items are now collectable, just visit the flea market. Of course it's up to you, whether to dig or not...
