   [detecting]Hello my name is Tom. I'm from Caboolture an outer northern suburb of Brisbane Australia. I bought my first MD about 9 months ago, however due wet weather and illness it has only had minimal use. Have some coins and a lot of nails etc. to show for my efforts. The thrill of the hunt is what will keep me going. Look forward to hearing from anyone interested in detecting particularly in Queensland.

 Thanks for your message. Do I understand you have friends in Aust. If so, I am looking for a buddy to have some contact with to exchange ideas and successes and failures and meet if possible. I would be happy to remain in contact with yourself  for the same reason. We have very few detecting clubs (particularly Treasure Hunting) here and it seems as though you make your own way by trial and error. A friend got me interested and then lost interest himself!! [detecting

 Thankyou for your reply. As I am from Caboolture I would hope we keep contact by email. I am mainly interested in coin, jewellery etc. which my detector was designed to do.
