Gadday from new member from downunder. New to forums and new to metal detecting. I havn't purchased a detector at the moment and when I do will generally use it for beach hunting and searching around the Golden triangle for the yellow stuff. Any info on purchase would be great. Trying to purchase locally but will most likely order from USA.

Hi Simmy, welcome from Arizona.   If you use the search function at the top right corner, enter "Best Detector" and search entire forum, you will find that buying a detector is a very individual purchase, but you'll also get a whole lot of tips on what type of criteria to use and a list of machines that are definitely worth the short list.
