I'm down in Deming NM.    Not ever heard of those places! LOL    Guess I need to get out more.

Welcome  and jump on in.

Most any Parks are fare game here in NM.

TOT Lots are always good for stuff like that.

Let me look around.

Howdy,

I know where all of those places are.  And the answers get tricky.   Obviously you can hunt private property IF you have the owners permission.  Those are probably going to be the best places for coins.   (vacant lots in the older part older part of town are especially nice).   when it comes to city and county parks, you'll need to check the city ordinances and/or park regs first.  State Parks in Texas are strictly off limits as are national parks and monuments.   The national forests around Red River are theoretically ok, BUT you need to stay away from "historically" significant and "archeologically" significant sites (the definition of which depends in large part upon the ranger in charge)

(and, Homie, Canyon, Texas is the gateway to a large, beautiful hole in the ground close to Amarillo that the Comanches used to hide out in.  It is also home to a very impressive small museum on the West Texas A&M campus.   Red River, New Mexico is an old mining camp saved from ghost-dom by becoming ski resort.  It is up in Taos county. )

Cool!   I don't get up north much any more.   We did when we were installing Dirrect TV Dishes from time to time.    Man I miss that job.   Got paid to drive all over and had a bed in the van.   Use to go about
any place we wanted on the way home for there dime.  Panning, Detecting or just sight seeing new grounds.
