EmbarrassedWell I have been missing, but a lot has happened, much illness, both my wife and I. And moved to sw Florida recently because of health reasons. But the good news is that I'm full-time retired now and have 2 detectors to use and preparing to get serious about this sport. Many of you gave me kind advice and comments before, and am grateful for them. Got to readjust now because I'll be mostly beach detecting, what a difference from tenn. I have inherited a Whites coin master 1/DB series 2. Should be fun. Thanks all.  Coffee

Welcome back, from the Blue Mountains of northeastern Oregon!  Sometimes, I wish I could join you on the Florida beaches.  But, on the other hand, I live 3 blocks from the actual path of the Oregon Trail.  A favorite camping spot of the immigrants is about 5 blocks from my house!      Detecting

Hi Brad.  I'm assuming you're asking me about finds along the Oregon trail.  Ihaven', nor have I heard of anyone findiang anything related to the OTrail.  I have found mostly found modern coins, silver necklaces and chains.  Once I found three modern Greek coins!  The camping area is now a well groomed city park with picnic tables and a childs playground.  It is also located near our local university.  I assume that is why I've found foreign coins, etc. there.  Nothing historic for me so far, but I keep checking back in there every so often.  Good luck with you beach hunting.   Detecting Detecting
