I would like to find some places to metal detect around Yuma AZ.  I would prefer outside the city park sys. I like finding old stuff, also of course some gold or meteorites would be great

Welcome from Tucson.

I hear ya, parks get kinda familliar after a while.  I was out hitting some old tailing piles looking for ore a couple weeks back, it was a nice break.  Sorry I have never been to your side of the state, that may change this weekend.  Trying to get to Seaworld for the weekend as it's a longer one.

Welcome from NM.

Get your self a good TOPO map of the over laying areas.

There is a good bit of BLM lands around.

Beware of any Claims of any kind. :Smiley

Welcome from Phoenix.   There are actually several places worth hunting between Yuma and Gila Bend.   Personal message me, and I'll see if I can point you in to some spots.

Welcome from the UK You mentioned Metiorites! About ten years ago I witnessed a fall directly overhead preceded by a loud Sonic boom I thought it fell near to where I live but it crossed Sunderland and landed in the Sea about thirty miles away. It was a fantastic sight all the colours of thr rainbow as it broke up
