My name is Clarence, known as the Rotormotor, live in a city East London on the south-east coast of SA.  Started building my own metal detectors around 1970 and have built around 20 different units since, the best being the twin loop Pulse induction unit.
In our detector collection are several Fisher machines, (an Impulse machine, a1212X,and a CZ6), a Minelab Sovereign, a couple of Garretts, a Heathkit, 5 C-Scopes from IB100, TR200, TR400, TR440 and a 1220B, a Tesoro Stingray and a couple of home builts, including the Pulse induction machine.  There are also 3 partially complete units.  I saw on a recent posting some one saying he was the South African Fisher and Techtronics (?) agent.  I would like to contact him about some Fisher stuff, please.  Also what has happened to Lukas van der Merwe who was the Fisher agent?  Can anybody help, please?
Contact Clarence at  rotormotor@mazdarotary.co.za  .  Thank you

Thank you for your reply, Xavier.  To be 100% honest, I don't know how these things work.  Why all the nom-de-plumes?  I have given my name.  The Rotormotor bit comes from the days of CB radio and my motor racing involvement.  I am trying to help a friend find a coil cover for a Fisher X1270, hence my post.
I have done a heap of beach searching, as well as dowsing at abandoned farm houses and dug half a million holes.  Haven't found the Kruger millions yet, though.
thanks.
Clarence.

We all haver our reasons for not being known by our given names. Welcome, Rotormotor. It's a bit of an irony that you'd ask about handles while using one.
