Although new to this site, I have a few years of experience.
It all started with Civil War sites in Arkansas.
A friend was kind enough to offer a detector and advise.

Plenty of research done on sites in Arkansas, however after several moves the maps and documents are packed away.
Maybe another treasure hunt LOL

Now I'm in Nevada completely infected with the gold fever

Thanks for the site, I'm glad I found you

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hi I'm new too. My brother in law told me there is gold in Texas. I never knew that and wanted to go panning in California.

Has anyone ever been to llano Texas? That's where they claim gold veins and nuggests can be found.

There is gold in Llano county, but don't expect to get rich off it (and expect flakes/dust more than "nuggets")

[mad]Thanks bit and home. I kinda figured I would have heard if it was a goldmine lol. Did y'all hear about that boy in the UK who found a coin worth 4 million in his backyard.? He was like 5 years old I think, what luck. It was a 500 yr old coin. No chance of that here in the US. This country isn't that old yet lol.

When I was on vacation in Washington state some folks there claim to have found gold. I loved that beautiful state and want to move there. Adding gold to that beauty would just be another plus in my book. :-)

yes...there is gold in Washington state also.....If you haven't already done so, I suggest you join GPAA for the educational value if nothing else....although if you take advantage of your membership to hunt some of the sites they have access to throughout the nation (and which are listed in the claims guide you get with your membership), you can easily pay for your membership in a hunt or two.
