Hey Jim Welcome from Texas

Try a search of the entire forum [top right of page] for northeast Ohio and see what pops up. That will get you going till someone  shows up with new info.

Thank you. I feel I will enjoy this group. Being new, everything and everyplace looks like a possiblity but I am sure this will settle down somewhat.
Thanks again,
Jim Detecting

Jeb, there are lot's of interesting/good areas to search in Northeast Ohio.  The area between Cleveland and Akron has been a major trade route since before the French explorers showed up and was extensively used by the Indians, the French, the British, and the Americans.   Not to mention, you've got some really nice older neighborhoods that are sure to still have some surprises.   And even though they have probably been hit pretty hard already, if the city ordinances allow for metal detecting in your local parks, it would be worth searching there (especially if you can figure out what the park USED to look like).

Thank you all. This is the friendliest group I have ever found. I just hope I can recepricate at some point.

I live just outside Cleveland's eastside in Willowick. Right on the lake. So a couple of the comments are suggesting places fairly close. You are all great.
