Thanks I can't wait to start hunting, I used it around the house today but the temperature here in North Alabama is real hot, didn't last long.

Looking at the manual, it has hope for gold nuggets.

I really DO NOT LIKE computerized detectors. Just my thing.

Welcome from Arizona. Once you get used to the detector, you'll get really hooked. Starting around the house is a good first step. Heat-wise, I'd suggest early morning or late evening (with a headlight on). I know what those summer days can get like in Alabama--heatstroke city if you aren't careful.

tsmi897 congrats on your new Machine it's a fine piece of kit, and if you need any help just call
i may be able to point you in the right direction

Now you will be digging deep with that coil and if you buy anymore coils for it make sure you ask
for the V-Rated coils for it because if you ever get the V3i then the coils will work on that too

Made some really nice finds when I had my whites, you should do well its a powerfull bit of kit, just take it steady and listern to what other DFX users tell you'
