Hey all,

Just wanted to hop on and say hello to everyone.  I am from a small town in Conncecticut called Colchester. I just started metal detecting this year 8/23/10.  I am using a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV, but am hoping to be purchasing a new metal detector by christmas.

Happy Hunting all,
CTKidd

Bounty Hunter Tracker IV
« Reply #4 on: September 15, 2010, 10:00:39 am »
Go Up Go Down

I lost a pocket knife that was part of a set that had been hand made by my father about a year ago on a camping trip with my cousins.  I had been back several times looking for it (with out a metal detector) and was unable to locate it.

My cousins have been bothering me to take them metal detecting.  I had recent surgery on my dominate hand, so I haven't been able to go out really, so I asked if they would be interested in going out to the camp site and I would show them how to use the metal detector and they could search for the knife plus other objects at the same time.  They agreed.

We went there yesterday, 9/14/10.  I showed them how to use it.  I set the bounty hunter tracker IV to all metal mode, sensitivity to 3 o clock and we set out.  They took turns, one of them got to use the pin pointer and shovel, and the other used the metal detector.  They immediately hit a clad quarter and you should have seen their eyes.  They were completely hooked. We then found some old bungie cords and an old hinge and then believe it or not, we found the knife. After a quick 20 minutes of searching.  I am completely blown away by it.  Still on cloud nine.

Happy hunting,
CTKidd
