Hi All,  I am new to the group.  I live at Vallecito, Colorado about 20 NE of Durango.  I have been laid up for a while, so I have been doing a lot of reading about several subjects and metal detecting has caught my interest.  I recently purchased an used White's MXT and looking forward to recovering enough to get out and try it out.  My interests in metal detecting range from basic operation to the technical side of the hobby.  I am a retired EE and you can't the "HOW DOES IT WORK??" out of the engineer.

Welcome from the Blue Mountains of northeastern Oregon!  Welcome   I spent a night in Durango last June - on a motorcycle trip.  It was hot then, too!  Beautiful country.               Welcome aboard!                     Detecting
