Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505; Garrett Pro-Pointer

I got started with this hobby thanks to my girlfriend. She surprised me when she told me she wanted to get a metal detector. We talked about it for a while, and then decided to go to Kelley Co, which is only about a.n hour away. Several years ago, the dive club I belonged to had gone there and was given a great presentation, so when she said she wanted a MD I remembered them.

Anyhow, she decided she wanted a Minelab, and got the Xterra 70. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much, and with KelleyCo's buy one, get one offer, I got a great deal on my Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505.

Well, we haven't really had the chance to get out as often as we would like, but have really enjoyed it when we have. We're still learning, not only the hobby, but also our machines, and I'm sure we'll do better as we go. Of course, living only 20 minutes from the beach helps.

Hope to pick up some pointers from the experienced folks on the forums.

That would be great. Send me an e-mail when you will be visiting... I work at Lowe's on 13th and my sch is always strange. I get the odd days off with 1 weekend a month. But if I know in advance I can switch with someone in my department.
