Hello all I am a new guy at this and am very excited to get started. I have watch numerous videos online. Can anyone out there give me some pointers. I am using a Garrett GTAX 1000. I have really no experience and would appreciate any input. thanks and happy hunting to all..

Howdy, Micon1019.   Welcome to THunting.com. 

       Do you have the manual, and if so have you read it? 
       I don't have the GTAx 1000, but I have had both the GTAx 550 and the GTAx 1250.   The manual is actually pretty good at explaining how to use the machine.   Most of the general tips you pick up in our beginners machine will be applicable to your machine (they are with both of my GTAx's).   But unless you  have a specific question it's a little hard to give you any advise except what I've given you---Read the manual; Read the posts here at THunting.com, and ask specific questions.
