Should I dig every target until I learn?

I have learned to use every detector I own to its maximum capability and I still dig each and every target. If I had to guess, I'd say 1 in 20 targets that indicate trash are true treasures. It seems the best items sometimes read as trash by my detector. Another thing of note is that around 1/3 of all rings I have found were first called trash by those machines which discriminate.

Thus, I dig every single whisper of a beep. Bar none.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
