The matrix M-6 is an excellent Coin and Beach Metal Detector , but do not forget if you "go up" one level , for just a little more money you can get the Whites MXT with the "hot new Whites 10 inch DD coil" , which is especially great for gold nuggets and gold Jewelry !!! Hi Eugene52. Thank you for the info. I have done lots of research on the M6 and the MXT and the only difference is the the metals switch. You can switch fron gold to metals and jewelery for $100 more. Other than that they are both exact machine. I have talked with Monte and he sent me 3 pages of info of the difference between the M6 and the 6T and the MXT. It is very extensive and there is other info I got as well. and for the dollar I think the M6 is the better deal. Now that being said I am waiting like alot of others to see what whites is going to do for a new machine. As well the 6T from what the buzz is out there is going to get more coils for it. if that is the case then I just might consider the 6T over the M6. Steve
