Been detecting since 1971. I am founding member and now President of 'The Rio Grande Valley Metal detecting Club'. I do not know why I have never found this message board before but here I am. Have had many detectors over the years but at present, have the Fisher F75. I do have a Teknetics Omega 8000, used, that I have purchased and await it's arrival. Hello fellow detectorists! Hello

My home base is Edinburg, Texas. 60 miles West of Brownsville and 15 miles North of the Mexican border. Right square in the middle of where all the illegals and cartel members are crossing. Not as safe a place as it was several years ago.

   Been there. I was working on a Fiber Optic Project in those parts for three weeks.  Feel Sorry for you.  You all have some Serious Fire Ant Issues.  As for the Border Issues, I live 30 miles from the Dotted line here in New Mexico.  Yep, There lining up like sheep here at times too.    No one hears about it .
